Watts- A watt is defined as: the measurement of electrical power. One watt is one ampere of current flowing at one volt. Watts are typically rated as AMPS x VOLTS; however, AMPS x VOLTS, or VOLT-AMP (V-A) ratings and watts are only equivalent when powering devices that absorb all the energy such as electric heating coils or incandescent light bulbs. With computer power supplies, the actual watt rating is only 60 to 70% of the VOLT-AMP rating. For more information concerning the Uptime Devices products and watts go to our home page.

Web Interface- An Internet service that links documents locally and remotely (see Web vs. Internet). Documents are stored on the Internet in "Web servers" that store and disseminate "Web pages." Web pages are accessed by the user with software called a "Web browser," the two most popular being Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. The Web page, or Web document, contains text, graphics, animations and videos as well as hypertext links. The links in the page let users jump from page to page (hypertext) whether the pages are stored on the same server or on servers around the world. The web interface is the set-up or layout of the web pages. For more information go to our home page.

Web Server- A Web Server is a computer that provides World Wide Web services on the Internet. It includes the hardware, operating system, Web server software, TCP/IP protocols and the Web site content (Web pages). If the Web server is used internally and not by the public, it may be known as an "intranet server." The term may refer to just the software and not the entire computer system. In such cases, it refers to the HTTP server that manages Web page requests from the browser and delivers HTML documents (Web pages) in response. The Web server also executes server-side scripts (CGI scripts, JSPs, ASPs, etc.) that provide functions such as database searching and e-commerce. For more information go to our home page.
