OID- (Object IDentifier) An OID is a number that uniquely identifies an object. It functions in a similar manner to the way a key field in a record uniquely identifies that record in a table. For additional information on your device's OID listings please click here.

Openview- Network management software from HP. It supports SNMP and CMIP protocols, and third-party products that run under OpenView support SNA and DECnet network management protocols. Operating System-  The master control program that runs the computer. The first program loaded when the computer is turned on, its main part, the "kernel," resides in memory at all times. The operating system sets the standards for all application programs that run in the computer. The applications "talk to" the operating system for all user interface and file management operations.
